Could you remote mount the solenoids under the hood?

I guess you could but I wanted it as close to original as possible. Plus this is an extra winch for me. I'm not sure what I want to do with it yet. I've got a trailer that could use one, a truck and a hitch on just about everything I own. However, if the right amount of money showed up I would probably just sell it so I could finish my pile in the garage.

The radio snatch boxes probably won't hold up in the weather. They're usually fairly thin and brittle, and likely won't have any UV protection. Worth a shot at that price, though!

My dads bronco has been rocking four ford starter solenoids in a large blueish radio shack box since 06. Sits out in the afternoon sun year round with no cover either!
