I don't see any kind of serial numbers or anything really identifying here. What proof do you have that any of it is yours? Sounds to me like Joey parts out and sells lots of jeep parts, or at least he says he has - for 20k years actually (he must be pretty old).

Not taking sides, just being objective.
 
Shawn. The Complete grill assembly including my headlights, brand new radiator, fan, and fan shroud. The black fenders, front left and right. Those were my parts that I drove up to Joey's house with a Uhaul van I rented in the middle of June so that he could swap the parts I brought with the damaged ones that came on the Jeep I bought.
 
Yes, the post was edited multiple times. I have pictures from when they were listed on his thread before they were listed as sold. I had no reason to suspect he was selling my parts since they were supposed to have been put on my jeep before he painted it. I assumed he was selling the damaged grill and fenders that were originally on the jeep. The damaged fenders and grill assembly were being given to Joey as part of our agreement for the paint job.
 
To me it sounds like each of you have no clue.

It is true, there are 3 sides to every story.


Sounds like each of you need to chock it up as a bad deal on both ends and consider what you each felt you "lost" as payment for the lessons you both have learned and move on.

top busy past few days. I sprayed the clear, I did not like
the results. Just finished stripping it entirely back down
to black base. I'm hoping to spray in the next few hours

I have well over 350 of my own money in that paint job.
Helped with stripping it sand blasting and prepping it. All
I've gotten was a grill, windshield frame, and seats. & a
beat up hood and fenders. In reality I have actually lost
money, but I was trying to help. Jeep is ready.

Getting done and its been put off time and time again. You

sandblaster and $300 air compressor. I don't understand

The second paint from paint shop, 4 things of paint
stripper, having it hauled back and forth, lacuer, paying my
dad for breaks, pack of heavy grit sand paper, and a ton of
other small things. The sand blaster you gave to Bobby after
giving it to me and the air comp I can't do anything with
because it doesn't work properly and a lot of the things you
gave me you took back. Like roll bar paddings, coils, and
sand blaster.

to clarify, i do not support, d-baggery, fuckery, skullduggery, or any other shady shit. But, i also dont support self victimization. Sometimes you get screwed over, sometimes you make a bad deal. dont make bad deals. be aware of what you are getting before hand.

the guy runs a chop shop outta his back yard and does paint jobs out doors. doesnt get much shadier than that.

there are some guys on here that do similar work, in a less shady fashion. you could have used any number of those guys.

that being said....i hope this gets worked out for the best of all involved since none of us really know what went down.
 
If you look at the albums on Marinetildeath's profile page all of his paint jobs were done indoors in a paint booth/garage. There are numerous pictures of his alleged previous work painting inside. As for self victimization, I took a chance and trusted someone who was scamming people by telling them he's a police officer and that he's a veteran. The dude is a scumbag and scam artist and I'm not the only one who he ripped off.

So what are you trying to accomplish here with the post? Dont get me wrong...... it's interesting to read, but really? You traded crap for a crap paint job. $400 paint job looks like you got your money's worth. A typical job is 1k to 15k. Sounds like both parties need to cut their loses and move on or duke it out and charge 5 bucks to watch. Maybe you can get enough to fix the pos then :driver:
 
I guess everyone has a right to their opinion. Clearly you don't know dick about jeeps if you think Everything I traded him was worth $400. You should really think before you speak and insult somebody with no real understanding of the whole situation. My jeep is far from a pos. I'd be more than glad to educate you personally if you feel the need for a lesson. Just in case you're not understanding what I'm saying, the lesson I'm referring to is minding what you say more carefully because not everyone you meet online is a nice person such as myself.
 
I can never figure out why anybody would want a pretty,shiny,sparkly paint job on a 4x4 especially a jeep. Offroading means getting dirty,muddy,scratched, dinged etc. so why worry so much about it looking like a street rod that get's garaged? I've customized every vehicle I've owned while I was busy driving them :driver:
