Marinetildeath BEWARE of seller

To clarify, there was no agreed upon price for the cost of the paint job. I did all the sandblasting and sanding myself. Joey only had to primer the jeep and paint it. There was no need for any body work because there was no damage to the tub. I brought my mint condition black fenders and complete grill assembly to swap out because the ones on the truck were in pretty rough shape. These are the ones that were sold my Joey on this forum..the thread has since been deleted. I wonder why... Here is the proof of the condition of the jeep before I handed it off to joey to paint. Looks like a dent from a fist in the rear 1/4.

So is MarinetilDeath the same kid that got busted for non-tax booze?

And why did the selling of stolen parts not bite him in the ass?

There will be lots of black pots and kettles here if we are going to collectively hate for possession of non-tax booze. I don't think that was necessary to include, and is separate from the Jeep fuckery.

The post was to clarify that he IS NOT is fact a police officer as he claimed to be. I trusted him because he told me he was a police officer and believed he was an honest person. It clearly says in the article that he IS NOT a police officer or employed by any agency.

WHY WAS THIS THREAD DELETED RIGHT AFTER MY POST IF THERE WERE STILL PLENTY OF PARTS FOR SALE ...? MAYBE BECAUSE ITS PROOF THAT HE SOLD MY PARTS AND TOOK IT DOWN ...? HMMM... TOO BAD FOR JOEY I'M FASTER THAN HE IS.

No damage to the tub??? Even in primer, I can see the dent in the rear quarter in addition to a few more along the rolled corner, and a crease below the jeep logo in front of the door.

I like the primer job. Ever heard of making tape?

I'm not sticking up for Joey but you are really clouding the waters with what you say and what I'm seeing above.

If no price was agreed upon, where does $400 come from and what did you pay him? If you didn't pay him, I'd say he has a right to the 'stolen' parts.

Edit- that said, I don't think I'd buy from either of you.

I paid him cash for the paint and supplies. I traded him my front and rear seats, Carpet, center console, seat belts, a brand new $300 air compressor , fender flares, and the damaged fenders and grill assembly pictured on the jeep that was supposed to be swapped out ...

He sold my good fenders and grill assembly with my new radiator that was supposed to be swapped out with the damaged ones that he left on my jeep and painted over. I'm sure according to you those scratches all down my jeep and horrible pain patches everywhere weren't his fault either...

Wow. You're either really ignorant or one of Joey's buddies. I traded him well over $1,000 in parts and a new air Compressor for a paint job that is horrible and a damages to the body. I did ALL of the sanding and sandblasting to the jeep. He kept the my fenders, grill assembly and new radiator and left the old ones on and painted over them. If you think that's not dishonest and ripping somebody off then you are an idiot my friend. See if you feel that way when it happens to you.

The dent/wrinkles in the rear 1/4 look like they are there in the picture with it primed.

Primer/bad paint/flat paint will hide a bunch of things that glossy finishes will show.

Still doesn't explain the scratches in fresh paint, the paint over decals, lack of masking, or any details of what fenders/radiator should be on the jeep.

I'm neither but I have done a fair number of restorations. Been put over a barrel by a few folks too. I don't know what all you traded but it didn't sound like much. Dude even said in the text you could have the compressor back.

Have fun with your jeep flip. Watch some of those flipper shows on tv and maybe some lizard lick towing for some advice and tips.

Hahaha touche. I wish it was as simple as buffing it. those scratches across the driver side hood, tub and door are through the paint and gouged down to the sheet metal. Not such a simple fix. I brought it to a body shop and they said repairing the body work and paint will be extensive. My mistake for trusting this guy in the first place.
