Hey guys, as some of you already know I got my leg pinched between a Jeep and the arms of my lift a few weeks ago. Like an idiot I didn't go to the doctor when it happened thinking it would heal itself. After a week of it not really getting better I made a late night trip to the ER for fear of a blood clot or infection. Long story short the ER doc said it was gonna be fine, he did an ultrasound on my whole leg to look for clots and found nothing. So he put me on an antibiotic and sent me on my way. Saturday I went to the lake and while swimming I hit the swolen area with my other leg. It instantly started to swell, turn red and hurt worse than anything I had ever felt. So this morning I went to my normal doctor to see what he thought of it and if he could give me something to ease the pain/swelling. He immediately sent me to an orthopedic surgeon to have it cut open and checked out. They drained 200cc's of nastyness and told me to lay on the couch with my foot in the air for 5 days. So I won't be able to work for the rest of this week. If you need anything just give me a shout at 704-361-0928 and I'll do whatever I can to help.
And for you guys that have stuff in my shop to be worked on. Fortunately no deadlines end this week so I'll hit it hard when I get back, and hopefully this won't effect your finish dates.
 
I'm impressed that you care enough about your business to post up rather than leave everyone hanging. I pray you get better without any more complications.
 
Get some Well Needed...scratch that...DESERVED...rest and bring back your A game. Your Family and your Health come First..!! Prayers out for a Speedy Recovery!!
 
Thanks guys for all the comments. Hopefully I'll be able to walk by this weekend. Right now it ain't happening. I can't put any weight on it. I think I'm gonna go nuts sitting on the couch all week.

Yep, dont screw arround with it, infections are no joke. Even superman had his Kryptonite.
 
Well I'm into day two of total boredom. Still can't really walk at all. I'm taking percocet and it doesn't seem to really do anything for the pain. About the only thing that gives me any relief is laying on my back with my leg propped up. This sucks! I've got autofair coming up and I need to get ready for that. I've got rigs in the shop that need finishing. Hopefully this won't last too much longer.

This is what they got out of it yesterday...
First he used the syringe to suck it out then he just pushed on it like a water ballon to squirt the rest into the little pink bed pan.

Told my wife about this and she said what she always does about men..."Why don't you idiots just go to the doctor?" I would have done the same thing: wait until it really effin hurts to see someone. Glad you did. Heal up soon.
 
Oh I'll be at autofair for sure. I've already signed the contract to bring 7 trucks out there. I can't back out on that. I might be on crutches but I'll be there.
