So I have steered clear of McDonalds for a couple years now based on what I "hear" is in their food. I have been watching all the videos that have put out lately claiming what they use in their chicken nuggets and hamburgers and they claim its all legit. No beaks, testicles, eyes, brain, hoofs, etc.

What do you guys think?

I really do love a big mac, fry, and a coke.

If I get the urge for a big mac, I go buy one. Can't beat their fries either. I also don't care what is in them.

So what if they do have beaks and toes and brains?
Millions of people in other places in the world eat "gross stuff" like that, and get by just fine. The human body is pretty freakin' amazing at being able to digest and deal with harsh foods.
The question should be just, "how bad for you is it" followed immediately by, "do I care?"

My kids love the nuggets. We try to keep it to a minimum just b/c they are pretty fatty - but both my kids are underweight, so no real harm there anyway.
I like the Big Deluxe or whatever it's called, I typically go for the "premium" burgers just b/c I don't feel like they are quite SO bad...
But i'm w/ Cyd, I'd go for CFA over MDs any day. Just a lot more expensive!

I do not eat any fast food. It's all the same. I would rather pay a couple dollars more get something good or be hungry.

I used to get a craving for a Big Mac - the quintessential Captain D meal. I read recently where sales on the Big Mac have fallen off and they're considering whether to pull it off the menu. Heresy! To be honest tho, I started opting for the McDouble - same sandwich without the middle bread and no "special" sauce. Better than a double cheese burger in my opinion. I can get out for under $3 and feel like I ate something. In terms of fries, started only eating them while I still had sandwich left to eat, toss any others leftover.

Now, having said all that, the smell of the grease in the air as I drive past any of these joints, combined with the effects on my stomach and - well, um, "digestive processes"... I've just decided I'm going to drive on by...

I've lost 25-30 lbs over the last 6 months and I credit no fast food (or as little as possible) to at least part of that.

YMMV

I'll do the occasional sausage mcgriddle and a hazelnut iced coffee but that's rare. I go for quality food.

I steer clear of fast food most times, and especially McDonald's, with one notable exception...

After I've been in Asia for a week eating wierd meats and pickled fish McDonald's tastes f'ing delicious.

The stuff you eat from other places is just as bad or even worse.
The gov't regulates pet food more than they do human food and actually have set limits for the amount of garbage, insect parts and such that is allowable in human food.
BTW-pet food has lower allowances of this junk and is safer and purer.

So When I go to Fatz and order a blackened chicken cesear salad, your saying it's worse than eating taco bell or even a wendy's salad?

Not by the experiences I have had.

I said "other places". Non-specific.
Take it to mean what you will.

But probably not Fatz .... that be good eatin'!

The only fast food I eat is Subway. I'm keeping my system clean in hopes of still obtaining high performance with high mileage.

Subway has a dumpster in our employee lot. Walk by that sucker after a couple of hot days and opinions change. Now when I walk into a subway that's all I can smell. I am a Firehouse Subs fan now when the craving strikes!!
Also a 20 piece nugget with hot mustard sauce and two hot apple pies all washed down with a large Coke, 'MURICA!!!!!!! Mcrib is pretty tasty too but then again I have ate opposum.......

I think it's all what you take in moderation. I'm fairly serious about what I eat, but still have a couple cheat meals a week and eat fast food some. Eating McDonald's once in a while isn't going to kill you as long as you otherwise stay healthy. But eating McDonald's after 2am will kill you. If I ever get hungry that late while I'm working and stop there I feel like shit the whole next day

Stokeridge is 2 miles closer to me than Mcdonalds, and I spend about $12 on a meal there vs $7 at Mcdonalds. Its worth it.
That being said, I do get 2 mcdoubles and a large fry about once a week while I am working because its the only thing open at 3 am and honestly it hits the freaking spot.

Lucky you can get the hot mustard sauce. It was apparently "discontinued" in 2012, however some McDonalds still carry it.
