Yeah, I saw that it was chicken breast, thighs, skin for flavoring and some other white meat part....I guess its the grinding process that make it looks so weird.
I think the main purpose is so that they can make it 50% air and use half as much "chicken".

It really wasn't my intention for to get into this... but...
I agree completely that keeping up w/ your health is super important, and routine monitoring is a great idea. It's fantastic that insurance companies will provide physicals at no cost, or even lower premiums if you do. Thats a model that all should follow, it saves everybody money.
That's why I said, mixed feelings on spending EXTRA money on it. If it's free, by all means do it!

The problem is, your typical "physical exam", by the somewhat limited, defined version of what is included, is a pretty limited assessment of your health and and the potential for "finding problems" that you don't already have a suspicion about. That is, the technical examination part is kind of like taking a car to mechanic and saying, "Any problems w/ this car? But you can't turn it on or off, or open the hood, or drive it around." Most of things that would be found during the physical exam, you'd have some kind of discomfort and know about already.
Really the important part of the exam is just the time talking to the doctor, the info he gets from YOU, and vice versa, in talking about any problems you may be having, how you're feeling, etc. If you have a doc that has the time for a real chat, and really pay attention, this can be invaluable and worth your time. Unfortunately these days that is rare.
But you can get the same thing by having a buddy or two that are doctors and having a beer w/ them every now and again.

Now once again that's assuming that you're willing to go to the Doc on your own when something seems off, and proactively monitoring your own health.
I know a lot of people (guys) that are like, "I have this funky pain in my abdomen when I lean to the left. Go to the doc? Nah, I have a physical exam in a few months [meaning 6...] I'll just talk to the doc then".

A yearly physical could catch high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and high glucose (type 2 diabetes) before they get out of control and damage starts to occur. All three of those could be happening without the person knowing it. My health insurance pays for a yearly physical, and I'm guessing most plans do.

This is a funny thread...

I used to be the same way, never cared, had an iron gut. Then I scorched my foot and was on heavy antibiotics which killed my gut. I'm a simple wrench turnin' kinda guy but since I help run a dietary supplement company, I've turned a little wiser to what corporations are feeding us. I wouldn't think twice about buying some $700 chromoly shafts but was a penny pincher at the grocery store and ate fast food. Not any more!

The meat you get is from a cow that is fed corn. The cow is killed about 6 months before it dies of poisoning. Believe it or not, E Coli comes from cows eating corn. Does not really occur often in grass-fed beef. Of course with extra E Coli comes all kinds of chemicals to kill it like ammonia. Yup, tasty tasty. That doesn't include all the steroids and anti-biotics they are fed while alive. Wonder why people get sick so often? Because all of it trickles into your immune system.

So lets move onto the fries :)

McDonalds doesn't like little brown spots on there spuds so the tators have been genetically modified to not grow a certain way. They are sprayed with so many chemicals that they have to 'outgas' for about 5 days. During that time the farmers stay indoors. Once turned into frenchy fries, McDonalds adds all kinds of stuff like salt and sugar in such high doses you become addicted to them. Not to mention they are doing a great job of turning you obese and making you a good candidate for diabetes.

Soda...so many things you can't pronounce. Trade calories for chemicals.

I stay clear of that stuff. Food industry is a scary place to be ;)

I certainly do not want to talk about my unhealthy relationship with Five Guys burgers though!!!

I work in the food industry and i dont eat what we make unless im extremely hungry because of the junk thats put in it to make it cheeper to make
