Hate to do this but don't have the time, and just moved into the new house; to many "to do's" on the list and not enough time for the rig.

I have a 94 YJ that I might sell, but not to sure on a price.

Clean Title!!!!!!!
No Drive Train! no back seat.
no rust; painted frame
Dana 60 full floater rear/ 44 front (pass drop) 8 on 6.5
No major body damage
Green Exterior/ Tan Soft Top
Was going to convert to chevy drive train and aquired the following parts:
3 core radiator (new in Box)
Hoop engine mount kit for chevy small block
B&M shifter (new in box)
new perches for spring over
new rear caliper brackets (for drum conversion)
1 set of spring plates...

I think that is it. Anyone have an idea on a price??? I'm thinking in the $1800 price range??

That is a nice base for a rig, hope you can find someone who sees the value in what you got started and runs with it. Good luck with the sale.

Well.. you can start like this... a completed version of that will bring say 6000ish or so. (3/4 ton running gear basically) with a stocker engine/running gear. Maybe 7-8k with a 350/350/205 combo and beefy dshafts and 36+ tires.

You are really selling a body/frame and 3/4 ton axle set. D60/14b combos go for $900ish on Pirate I think? (As much as 1100 with 4.56 and detroit in the 14b)

D44 is prob pulling the price of that set down, front D44 is "worth" say $250 or less folks? (Since a D30 has "nearly" the same size axleshafts and the same ujoint)

D60 rear is nice...but sorta a dime/dozen since there are tons of vans and 2wd pickups with em in there. Again, you maybe looking at $250 or less for it? (I don't remember if it has detroit in there, if so add a hundred or maybe 2)

Body/Frame...honestly not sure they are worth "anything" unless you find someone with a trashed body or a CJ they are rebuilding. I am going to guess $400 or less? (Maybe a bit more since it does have a title, but compare this against the fact you are seeing buggy frames selling at something close to that price starting out/used)

Misc spare parts are just that...prob better off to sell em on their own or ebay em...

I dont remember if you had tires, but same deal...

Not sure that adds up to your $1800?

Had a thought for ya....if you have access to the orig parts (d30/rear axle) and a drivetrain and put them in there...and sell a RUNNING / complete jeep you are looking at 3000+ i bet? Maybe 4k+ for a stocker...

In other words your stuff is worth ALOT more as a trailable rig...it MIGHT (depends on what you can buy cheap/do it quickly yourself) be worth scraping together enough to either finish it or sell the axles and slap back together a stocker.

Look around and see what you could buy a 350/tranny and tcase combo for...wire it up/finish it. Find a good deal on USED tires/wheels and then sell as a trailable rig. Again, say you can sell it finished for 6000 vs the 1800 you are guessing, can YOU finish it for the difference and have extra pocket cash?

[Note...for inspection purposes you might be better off finding a 4.0/tranny/(passenger drop tcase) than the v8 route, XJs are CHEAP and have a full set of running gear...$800 XJ might yield engine/tranny/tcase AND stocker axles and then sell the YJ as running stock rig and sell the xj shell for parts]

Hope that helps dude. (Another thought, find a buddy who has "parts" too...partner up/finish and split the profit?)

Sam

if you do end up parting it out, i might would be interested in the frame and tub... just let me know if thats what you end up doing

thanks, chris

Where is it at Andy?

I need this like I need a hole in my head, but it IS along the lines of what I was looking for in a future trail-only rig
