Been looking for a swb utility bed for my crew cab K20. Not the easiest item to come by. Found a guy selling one that’s on a late 80s Ford Ranger. Lengthwise the measurements look good, but it’s probably 6” narrower than the widest part of the cab on each side. Been going back and forth on whether or not it would look alright being narrower than the cab, or if its gonna look like @CasterTroy or @UTfball68 in a pair of skinny jeans :D

Below is the best example I could find if what it might look like. (minus the movable fenders and bumper and $100k F-twofiddy)

I have a 05 ranger service body as my work truck and the boxes are woefully undersized. I would up bolting more boxes on top for extra space. 0/10, would not buy again.

I'd say I'm like 50/50 on form vs function. I'd be ok with carrying a few less things as long as I can still look like a baller in the Cookout drivethrough. :huggy:

You'd be way ahead to just build a flatbed and bolt some boxes to the top. There is no room in the bed of the service body.

My neighbor has my old 7.3 97 F-250 with an 8ft service bed. It's got some sort of fuel issue I'm sure he'd let it go cheap or part the bed out

Appreciate the heads up on that. Looking for a 6.5ft service bed to fit a short wheelbase truck. Easy to miss the "swb" in the first post though.
