monster tow rig

well advanced timing alittle. and installed a 4000 rpm springs. will try out tomarrow, also pull out the noisie 13 speed. and got a newer 9 speed.

Dropped my rig off at Tim's shop the other day and got to see this beast. All that I can say is wow!

well think i am at the bottam of my driveline vibrations. maybe i can actually drive this thing.

Bad ass!
...love to see some vid of it hooked to a fully loaded gooseneck , jammin gears n rollin some coal!

What did you find to be the cause of the vibration?

first thing i need to stiffen up my 205 mounts. next the rear drive shaft down at the rear end, the caps are spinning inside the yoke. last, the intermediate shaft needs to be balanced, at the time they said they couldn't do it, but i found someone who can.:driver::driver::driver::driver:

I like the shifter but it looks like its bent a little far forward. I'm sure its for clearance but is it comfortable? Go on and get the bugs worked out and get us a video on youtube cause I want to see it in action. Awesome build.

Any video of this yet?

Damn man... that sucks.

I can imagine... Whats next? Seems your selling off all the goodies right now, must be something nice. Ive never been much of the "Easy come, easy go"

That was such a cool truck, with so much work, and honestly super creative, never built anything like that, but if I did I am not sure I could part with it so easily.

for me its fun to build stuff. once its done i am looking for somthing else to do.

What were the seats out of? I'm thinking of building an International Travelall and those seats look really comfortable. 2 or 3 rows of those seats would be comfy for 6 and sitll be able to get stuff in the back.

I've got a 91 GMC Top kick with CAT diesel/auto that would make a nice donor truck for doing something like this. Too bad I don't have time to tear into it. Sounds like your next tow rig project Tim!

You got that and a Chevy 3500!

Ok fella's if you were wondering what happened with the monster tow rig..well it ended up in my driveway a few weeks back. I cant take credit for the build but gonna take credit for the finsh. lol For the last few weeks me and a good friend of mine have been ripping into this monster and working all the bugs out that comes with any custom build. Tim had a real cool idea and made it all come together and defently took all the headache work out it for me, now im just going to put a different spin on it and add a custom grille, custom fabbed front and rear bumpers, different seats front and rear, maybe polish out them 22.5 alcoa's, schackle flip for the rear and more to come who knows. I really dont have a rig right know so im not planning on towing any thing but plan on cruzing the shit out of it to shows and pulls and stuff. I will try and upload some pics tomorrow if my camera acts right..
