More TBI issues

the TBI is real simple. you have 12v on one side of the injectors and the other side gos to the computer and it is grounded to fire the injectors. if you injectors are firing good then you might check the following in this order

1. O2 sensor
2. MAP sensor
3. TPS throtle posistion sensor
any one of those will make it run like CRAP. My J10 is TBI and I have had no issues.

Dude, seriously. It's been almost a week. Change the fuel filter. It's only like $20. If you don't want to change it, at least pull it and see if you can pour gas through it. If you can, move on to a pressure check. If you can't, problem solved.

ok so finnaly got around to workin on the blazer, replaced the feul filter and voila, all issues solved :shaking:

I said it because I've been there with the EXACT same problem and simptoms. Glad it was an easy fix like mine was. Now, do I win some sort of prize?

My filter must've been worse. I couldn't blow air through it with my mouth. It sure tasted yummy though.

Just a suggestion. We had alot GM TBI trucks that would have a crappy idle run bad at certain RPMs and 8 out of 10 times the distributor was the problem. Pull the dist cap and see if the rotor button moves from side to side. This is caused by wear in the housing causing the magnetic pick-up to freak out making the injector pulse width and the timing to be erratic. Just a thought
