Mosquitoes... Again

now here's the best part, one application lasts about 30 days, and it will control mosquitoes, fleas, ticks, worms, fire ants, large and small ants of any kind, bees that nest in the ground:)

And it will kill most anything that lives in or around the water and mosquitoes tend to develop a resistance to it.

Like has already been said, it doesn't take standing water to bread mosquitoes, here is my opinion

90% of mosquitoes come from Larvae hatched out of the water, but spend most of there short life living in or by grass, mulch, or wooded lots

Some of the mosquito companies will do a good at keeping them knocked down, some will give you just enough material so you have to call them back, which is how they make there money, service calls

Bifenthrin is a insecticide pest control companies use to control pests including termites

It comes in a Granular form, that is easy to spread with your average cheap lawn spreader, application rate is 2.5lbs/1000 sqft, and it is available in 25 and 50lb bags, normal cost should be around $1.25 per lb

I didn't tell anybody to go out there and dump it in there swimming pool or pond to kill mosquitoes,

it doesn't kill white grubs,

and just so you know, Bifenthrin is insoluble in water

what does that mean, it means if it rains it stays where its at, so there is no concerns of contaminating ground water used for drinking through leaching, now if you have a pond with fish, or other aquatic organisms I would avoid spraying or spreading Bifenthrin around the edges of ponds, a barrier of atleast 15ft should be used

out of all the Pyrethroid insecticides, Bifenthrin has showed the least resistance, can you go out there for ten years using it and expect to kill the mosquitoes every year, NO!

its just like medicine, Penicillin being used over and over, and now it doesn't work like its supposed to on ear infections or whatever

LOL... okay. I was thinking.... Mosquito larvae growing in the ground? We are well and truly screwed.

I swear mine hatch in waves, after this heavy rain, in a day or two they will be swarms through out the whole neighborhood. There is a small spring / creek close to my house, I caint do anything about the creek. Ive got use to putting on a little spray before taking the dogs out in the evenings.
