Most comfortable vehicle (on the cheap)

I owned one, & rode in several; mini vans! I had a worn out Plymouth Voyager, that rode Fine, very economical in every way. And the best part, you open the door & just step in or out! No having to get Up, or Down, in the seat. Want luxury, Chrysler Town& Country!

There was a dodge caravan I found a few years back, it had a factory manual transmission (1994?). That, and maybe a blacked out RT style caravan would be about it for me.....again, not a fan of fwd.... prefer to rock an A-Team style can if it came to that.

Man I've got to go with @rodney eppes on this one. We have my parents old 2000 dodge caravan at work and it still floats like a butterfly. Not having to crawl on the ground to get in and out is a real plus. As well is being able to sit up straight like in a full size truck.

Can't do it.....I have ridden in an odyssey recently and it just isn't my thing. I like the near 100% functionality of a minivan, but I just can't do it........if the step down is too much for my back (getting into a regular sedan), I might look into a mid-size SUV.

I will have to admit, our Voyager was the most comfy mommy van (or vehicle, period!) we owned.
I must have slept a million miles in ours.
My wife beat that poor thing to death. Actually hated replacing it with the Honda Ody.

My truck is in the shop this week so I'm rocking the Silver Bullet aka, 2000 dodge caravan back and forth to work. Damn thing floats like a Cadillac

Crown Vic 32mpg got a v8 plenty of room, if you want a throwback go Lincoln continental I prefer the red interior 2 door myself

I’ve had two e46 (99-05 3 series) BMWs and they have easily been the most comfortable to drive of anything I’ve owned. They are fun to drive when you want to rip on them, and they get 25-30mpg. They aren’t cheap to maintain, but I think they’re well worth the extra expense. German cars in general are just a smoother, more comfortable car to drive.

Close second would probably be the 05 Grand Cherokee my mom used to have. Comfortable, easy to drive, and plenty of space. They’re cheap too.

messaged them this morning asking how many miles were on the car, got a book back about performance spark plugs and cancer..
But did they tell you how many miles?

95 Lumina. Dirt cheap. A few days of dealing and you’ll have your money back.

Have you thought about a Pontiac Bonnie? You can get a supercharged Bonneville SSEI pretty cheap. Some bolt-on’s and you’ve got a couch cruising sleeper.

It seems the lumina, monte, grand prix, and bonnevilles of the world were the last wave of old people cars, as most that I find now have been used, abused, and left for dead. If you find a nice condition bonneville odds are good someone wants a mint for it.....plus....fwd......I would really rather avoid that.....but if the right rig presented itself at the right price.

I have a wrecked back. The gmt400 trucks with bucket seats are about the only thing I can sit in for long periods of time.

Our backs must be wrecked in different ways, I have not found the GMT400 platform to be very comfortable.....not sure if it is the torsion bar suspension or the fact that most have 25+ year old seats in them. We have an NBS (GMT900?) As a shop truck, ride is ok, but it is a 2wd and has the turning radius of a battleship.

We had a 99 Chrysler Concorde with the 3.2 motor in it. It was just the right power/weight ratio to get awesome gas mileage (high 20's to low 30's) and was very comfy. Leather seats felt like a La-Z-Boy recliner I could have the seat all the way back and sit in the back seat with 3+" between my knee and the back of the seat. 250,000 miles on original engine until my step-daughter let her dad work on it and he left the radiator cap on top of the motor.

Bought it for $1200, put 120,000 miles on it during that time, spent $200 on a cooling fan during that whole time other than tires, brakes and oil changes. Got $400 to scrap it. Probably could have got way more parting it, but needed it off the driveway fast.

To this day, my wife says it was her favorite car.

Best float I ever had and rode in was my '89 Crown Vic. It was hard to get used to because I couldn't ''feel'' the road at all

Inherited my grandmothers Mercury Grand Marquis. Fantastic riding car, good power, pretty good mileage. Hard to stay awake driving though.
