I love watching them. No shits given.
I have seen highlights on Simone Biles routines and that girl is off the hook good!I love watching them. No shits given.
Fuck the gymnastics and swimming - mainstream stuff.I love watching them. No shits given.
Never surfed before huh?Fuck the gymnastics and swimming - mainstream stuff.
Table tennis, Judo, kayaking... all the other more obscure stuff is way more exciting and they typically have multiple streams going. And minimal commercials.
Surfing was interesting... for about 90 seconds. Then I realized it's 95% a couple dude just sittin garound waiting for a wave, 5% a few seconds of "ok thats cool" then more waiting around.
I had this crazy notion that Olympic surfing would be hella cool to see. I mean, 30+ ft waves, the best in the world, beautiful locale.Never surfed before huh?
That's my biggest gripe. Too much swimming and gymnastics. I guess I could wake up at 3am for table tennis but that requires way too much motivation.Fuck the gymnastics and swimming - mainstream stuff.

Fair. I could see the spectator side being boring without having ever sat on a board and waiting for the ride.I had this crazy notion that Olympic surfing would be hella cool to see. I mean, 30+ ft waves, the best in the world, beautiful locale.
And it is... once.
What? No you don't.That's my biggest gripe. Too much swimming and gymnastics. I guess I could wake up at 3am for table tennis but that requires way too much motivation.
It would have been more interesting to people who don’t surf if they’d have held it at Kelly Slater’s Surf Ranch in California. It’s a perfect artificial wave with almost no downtime in between waves. They hold competitions there at times and it’s pretty cool if you’re into it. I grew up surfing so I don’t mind watching it where they are in Tahiti. It’s a wave called Teahupo’o. When it’s firing it’s one of the deadliest waves in the world. It looks like it breaks below sea level.Fuck the gymnastics and swimming - mainstream stuff.

I watch the shit out of the Olympics. I love sports. I yell at the TV and pull for the old US and A in whatever weirdo event is televised. I love me some women’s beach volleyball. For the competition of course. No other reasons.I love watching them. No shits given.
