To this day…any time I’m in/around/leaving florida, my grandfather pulls out his 5yr old Rand McNally to tell me the best route, and offers me his road compass that he’s screwed into the dash, with self tappers, of whatever new vehicle he purchases. I’ve tried discussing apps that show traffic jams or even speed traps…he just shakes his head and says he doesn’t trust them, they don’t know the road like he does…and to some extent, I don’t doubt him.
