This is incorrect. Aerosol based whipped topping is trash. The only thing that goes on pumpkin pie is Cool Whip original out of the tub. But, the proportion of whipped topping to pie is correct.

Not to be contrary, but on the contrary , the aerosol whipped topping is actually whipped cream, and Cool Whip is actually hydrogenated oil and fake sugar. Of course homemade whipped cream is the best, but the aerosol stuff is actually better (and probably better for you).

We call those containers “Burke County Tupperware.” See also Country Crock containers as well as KFC containers.
