So why does it cost 2.7 times more to have less salt on my nuts?

This is where non-standard product and "perceived value increase" meet!

They charge more because we have been trained to believe that healthy things take more effort to make, AND they probably only sell 10% of their inventory as low sodium....gotta stop the machines, load different packaging, purge the line, etc, etc.
