This actually works, you combat lock the rear door (think deadbolt) the you leave out the front door and chain it to the rear = you can only crack the front a couple inches. Military vehicles are lacking on door locks like a conventional vehicle. Hell you’re lucky to keep tabs on the key to get that one lock or the one around the steering wheel chain. We used to burn 5200 series locks like undies after a Taco Bell bender.
