Keep track of our latest build at Motobilt Project: Dual Purpose TJ / Motobilt Metal Fabrication Blog Motobilt, Inc.
Our customer came to us with the intention of modifying his Jeep TJ to suit two different needs. He wanted his Jeep to maintain a daily driver capability, but also to be able to perform adequately on the trails. In order to fit both of these needs, we are adding key components that will prevent failures both on and off road.
One of the most common failure points for a Jeep TJ is the stock lower control arm mounts. They are paper thin and do not take well to abuse. When the factory lower control arm mounts tear, break or bend it can leave your Jeep stranded. First on the list of mods for this Jeep is a set of of our Heavy Duty front lower control arm mounts for the Jeep TJ, LJ, XJ, or ZJ
We are also beefing up the front end with a truss and C gussets.
In order to protect the front and rear of the Jeep and provide solid recovery points, we installed the Motobilt Jeep YJ/TJ Competition Front Bumper with stinger
In the rear we replaced the factory bumper with the Motobilt Jeep CJ YJ TJ Rear Rock Crawler Bumper
Stay tuned for the next installment on this Jeep TJ, including an 8.8 axle swap and a long arm conversion.
