Maybe it’s just seeing the same people win week after week. But I haven’t seen that many people congratulate a winner since Brayton won Daytona.

What a season!

Started off with “Deegan and Jett gonna dominate and it will be a snoozefest. Hope 250 East is interesting.”

Now it’s every class deep and the title wide open. And enough inconsistency that there’s no telling who will even start to pull away!

I'm a Webb fan because he's an NC boy, but I have trouble picking him for the title when (I'm tired of saying this cliche) the field is so deep. Roczen has had a killer year so far, Mookie is on fire (we will see if it sticks), and who knows what Tomac is gonna do. His fastest lap was over 5 seconds slower than the leaders, so maybe its a fluke and he was taking it easy, or maybe he is quite injured and won't be a threat. Guess its just too soon to tell. With that said, I'd also never rule out Webb. He gave Jett a run for his money all the way down to the last race, with Jett having the momentum, winning SMX and coming off a perfect season in MX. That's damn impressive.

I think Chase will take the title just because he is more likely always to be in the top 5 than the other people. Webb on occasion has a top 10. Tomac who knows what happens with him in some races or what this injury might be.

But if cooper keeps it together he has a good chance also

I got to say after racing roads bikes and dirt ,my opinion of the he AMA is the same.

I miss the days of AMA Roadracing. It was a big deal back then. SX/MX seems to have maintained most of its luster at least, but the roadracing side is a shell of what it used to be.

They operate like a union, ultimately they are the primary beneficiary.

And the interest in SX has definitely dropped with all these injuries.

On the upside, GNCC season opener is Sunday at Big Buck. Might be a proper mudder. I’ll likely bitch out vs annihilating a few hundred dollars in parts I don’t have the time to replace .

There is a 6 hour enduro at NCCAR on the 23rd if anyone wants to team up.

AMA bumped me back to C after a few years of not really racing anything but sportsman. lol I’ve only put 12 hours on the bike in 2 years.

I think KR is a podium threat every week lines up. The 4 years off is a talking point but it’s not like he totally walked away from the sport. I don’t see him coming back if he didn’t think he could contend. That said I don’t expect him to come out and win right away as it sounds like he’s still trying to dial in the Yamaha. Ol 450 is a fire breather. If the 250 can haul my fat ass around just fine I can understand.

Kr has been at brushy a lot on trials in the past few years also. I can’t imagine riding any 450 in the woods like these guys do.

I'm a fan of Roczen, Webb , Mookie and Anderson. Sexton is faster than all of them but has been proven to fold under pressure.

They are pretty close to a factory team now and might be a better deal for her even

That team is the Factory Kawi effort this year and should be for the next few years at least.
