I can’t wait to see prado on a ktm and sexton on the Kawi
Prado is now sitting out smx

Prado is obviously a great rider, but I think Sexton will make the Kawi work well (until he loses mental acuity and wads it up on the track).I can’t wait to see prado on a ktm and sexton on the Kawi

Can't wait to see those two go at it on the 450's.I'm fully expecting Jett to smoke everyone on 450's and Deegan to do the same on 250's.

When is the last time somebody won on a Kawi?
Yep, awesome for Shimoda! If Deegan had just raced Shimoda hard, that would have been one thing, but with what he was doing, he got what he deserved. If you watch the replay, he didn’t just bump into Shimoda, he turned the front wheel hard to the right into Shimoda, which is what caused him to slam so hard to the left. Another big win for physics!Jo!!!
Some good 250 racing! Curious if Deeg's is hurt, or if he just gave up after the contact, knowing he was either going to get in trouble? If he isn't hurt, surprised he wouldn't keep going to just get the SMX money.
Edit. Broken collar bone. The replay did look like his shoulder wasn’t sitting flat
Man, Deegan is a turd. Just race to the front. Put one good block pass on him while going forward and be done with it. His mouth got him in that position due to all the shit talking he did about Kitchen.
Yea a block pass is one thing. Stopping to let somebody go buy with the sole intent to hit them is shit. Should be more than 5 points.
That was downright scary! I thought I just saw him get paralyzed or killed! Was definitely some type of brain-muscle synapse that wasn’t firing right. Also what is the 3rd head whip with Ryder d before he went down. It makes no sense.
Over/Under on whether they start interviewing Deegs next year on the 450 even when he is off the podium? Because Deegs. The shit talk is fun from time to time but this year he just seems like hes been trying too hard to stir it up. But then again, waxing everyone and just going to the next race doesn't get clicks and its a business. Someone like Barcia or Ando will send him to the cheap seats next year if he gets chippy.
GNCC has gotten interesting. There's a bit of a rules/points issue as Grant Davis (XC2) is leading overall points. There has never been an Overall Champ from the XC2 line. In '23, Craig DeLong won the Overall from XC1 even though Stu Baylor had more XC1 class points. This can happen. No big deal. Overall points vs Class points. Have a bad race here or there and finish way down in the top 20 or out of the top 20 but beat the shit out of them at all the other races in class, it can flip flop. Again, the GNCC bike Champion is scored off of overall points. But as the rules say, they don't crown an XC1 Champ and an Overall Champ. Just Overall. XC2 Though does have its own Championship winner. Magically this weekend, Ben Kelley was awarded his XC1 Class Champion plate for '25. It doesn't even exist in the series rules.
Oh...and then there's the whole irony of Stu Baylor running a fireman on his graphics this weekend for their Salute to Service weekend then having his RV burn down at the rest area on 77 between the tunnels last night on the way home.
GNCC is wild, what is the point of the XC2 class these days when XC2 is winning overalls just as much as XC1?
Engine Displacement. XC2 is capped at 250cc max two or 4 stroke. XC1 is an open class. Both are technically pro classes but XC2 is intended to really be a feeder to the XC1 premier class. Same as 250/450 SMX.What’s the difference between XC2 and XC1?
Saw that last night, had a bit of a different take. 158 in 25 years, 1/3 of which are not at an actual track, actually seems remarkably low. 6 per year in a high adrenaline, high risk, high reward sport. Sure, nothing is worth dying for, but those of us who ride know its almost worth it because not much else compares. We should do everything reasonably possible to prevent deaths, but like someone pointed out in the article, 400+ kids per year die in pools, so that's 10,000+ since 2000. Putting stupid stuff beside tracks and poorly trained flaggers need to be addressed, even at a pro-level.![]()
