Just curious what everyone is listing to while working in the shop. I know we've got a wide range of people on here. Might also remind you of bands you may have forgotten.

I've normally got Cake radio going or 90's alt rock.

Everything from Classical, Tyler Childers, CCR, old school Metallica, Flat and Scuffs, Ghetto Boys and some Afroman, Johnny Cash, and of course the Hanks etc...

Just no modern country, pop, rock or anything else a millennial might be into.

Pandora. Tyler Childers radio, 90s alternative, or blues rock radio. Sometimes GnR, FFDP, or Mudvayne. Depending on the mood.

Depends on my mood, which is generally random as hell anyway.

Nice... I think we can be friends.

I have honestly been on a podcast kick lately. If Pandora is on it is some sort of red dirt country, southern rock or classic country mostly... Or, if I I get froggy, could be 90's alternative, 3rd wave ska, raggie... 90's gangster rap.

98.7. 105.7 or Jimmy Buffet ....usually Jimmy

This is going to seem FAR out of left field and not typically associated with working in the shop, but more than once in the past few weeks Ive had it on Sigur Røs and really got deep

I mix it up. I've got a few different stations set up on my Pandora account. I've got Whitey Morgan radio, Charles Bradley radio, Drive By Truckers and The Steel Woods. Recently, I've added Vulfpeck for funky tunes without words. Sometimes I just like to hear some funky beats and I don't need to hear about popping caps in asses or whatever the hell else inspired the music. I have found though that sometimes because of the algorithm you have to start a new station to open up more variety. Then, every once in a while I'll listen to oldies from the 50s and 60s. It reminds me of my dad so I like that.

My go to is podcasts:
The Truck Show Podcast
Last Podcast on the Left
Snap Judgement
This American Life
TED Radio Hour
Hidden Brain
Radio Lab
Spooked

Working in the shop alone or with @Joe J. I listen to Gojira, WhiteChapel, Trivium, Unleash the Archers, Parkway Drive, Messugah, etc. When others are over its Tyler Childers, Luke Combs, Strugill Simpson, classic rock, sometimes hood music, etc.

It's a bit all over... everything from Johnny Cash to 80s to old Soul/R&B to newer stuff like Nathaniel Rateliff and Shakey Graves. The everyday google play list includes what I mentioned plus Sharon Jones, Charles Bradley, Leon Bridges, St. Paul & the Broken Bones, P-funk, The Band, Chris Stapleton, Shovels & Rope, The Gourds, Tom Petty, Old Crow, Town Mountain, ELO, Rolling Stones, The Dead South, Jason Isbell, Lyle Lovett, and the Traveling Wilburys.

It's Del McCoury Band right now because I'm gearing up for Wide Open Bluegrass.

If I'm trying to really get after it and get stuff done, it's Shooter Jennings - Black Ribbons.

Lately it’s been sturgill Simpson, Tyler Childers, whitey Morgan, cody jinks, Jason boland on shuffle/repeat all.

If no one else is there it’s usually heavier rock into metal with a touch of hard alt rock.

This and HankIII lately

Tools. Not the band. Half the time I wouldn't hear music over the sound of what I'm doing anyway. Plus with a 1year old and 4 year old, silence is really nice.

When I'm in the garage I 0lug the phone into the stereo and hit "random"
The wife will come out and dance with me when a "pop" song from the 80s comes on so that's a welcome treat.
The neighbor scowles at the rap. I guess having a massive bass speaker and his house facing the garage door doesn't help

Old country, Old rock, Motown, (yes, I'm old) I have been influenced by a li lady on here, not sure what type music you'd call it, but @trailhugger give me a great appreciation from a lil group called the Carolina chocolate drops. I like Jazz, blue grass, RnB, OLD blues. What you won't hear on my speakers is Heavy metal, sorry, don't like screaming. Not a big fan on most of the new country, newer pop, or that rap crap.
If I am alone, then I do like to turn the volume up though. Still believe, if it's too loud for you, then you are too old. LOL
