My Cargo Camper has a new admirer

I thought about the bear traps as well. Be pretty cool to find a thief’s foot and ankle left in one. Twisted minds think alike.
Would be way more fun if he was still attached to the ankle and foot tho!!

Could always attach some huge cable to the beefiest part of trailer with ehh 75’ of wire and bury it in the ground then around a big tree, they get it hooked up and get going then their truck bed gets tore off and hopefully frame, hitch and all if ya lucky lol

I walked out to check on my camper after church today. It appears someone else would like to have it. The old lock (top) didn't survive, but the Master Coupler Lock seemingly did its job well. I'm now trying to come up with an alarm like one used in a car. I don't think a motion sensor would work due to dogs & cats.

Any suggestions welcomed.

What gets me is that they cut that lock when I can break one with two open face wrenches in seconds...

Do you have a monitored alarm system on your house?
ADT/CPI/ etc?

If so Ive got a few neat tricks that cost...like $10 that are darn near fool proof.

Nope... no alarm system. I've lived here going on 34 years... this is the first time for anything like this. Maybe have to look into it.

Your post made me take another look at the old lock. I was indeed cut with bolt cutters. I had just assumed it was broken as you described. Whoever tried this may have done it before. Sheriff's office is now watching too. I have about a dozen law enforcement officers that live nearby.

Yeah they had to put some effort into it with bolt cutters I’ve got some 3’ bolt cutters and it takes awhile to cut a lock bolt like that with two wrenches it’s broke in matter of seconds tho! Whoever it is certainly isn’t to damn smart... Leo are always good also a trail cam if possible I have one on my property where my build is being done bc my neighbors have 23 theft charges!

Most of the thieves, these days, are dumber than a box of rocks! Someone tried to remove my M8000 from the front of my 3A, loosened all the bumper bolts, (hammer fit on the bumper, 10 grade 8 1/2" hardware), so I tightened the bolts in the bumper, removed the winch, (they had no idea of how to), secured winch, set up game camera.

It's going to be funny watching them try to burn sugar thru their engine!

I can't say... my wife has helped me backtrack through the past week. The best we can come up with is sometime Wednesday night thru Saturday night.
Motion flood lights and multiple types of locks on the trailer and move it behind a vehicle for storage.
