It's 11pm and I cannot make coffee for 5 am...My spares are all used up. I will not have coffee at 5 am. Not a happy camper here!
What the!?
Damn...
This is crazy

Pour coffee in filter, use rubber band to secure filter closed. Put coffee sack in mug, add water, nuke it for like 45 seconds or so (just make sure it’s hot) let sit for a bit, remove filter sachet, drink it.

Microwave water, or boil in kettle or pot. Pour ground coffee in hot water, stir, wait for 1 minute. Pour water and coffee grounds through the filter basket with the filter in it. Drink coffee.
If you want cold brew, pour ground coffee in cold water, stir, put in fridge overnight. Pour water and coffee grounds through the filter basket with the filter in it. Drink coffee. Use double the amount of ground coffee than for hot water.

You've just made a French Press, sort of.

Or, put the ground coffee in the filter basket and slowly pour hot water over them in a circular pattern, and then you've made a pour-over.

Or, decide you don't actually care about coffee, and then go buy a Keurig machine. :D

I haven't owned an electric coffee pot in more than 15 years (my dad broke it), but I have coffee every morning. I have a kettle, and a coffee grinder, and some low-tech glassware.

I’d be breaking the old enamel percolator out of my camping gear in the garage. Ain’t missing the coffee.

24hr wallyworld
this.
You can always go out the night before and buy a cup from where ever, then reheat it in the morning. Not the same but it will do the trick.

as an aside - this is why I switched to high-caff tea for mornings. Drop bag into cup, pour in water, mircowave cup, done.

And the wife saved the day! Turns out there was a totally new coffee maker in the closet waiting to be used! She had it ready when I got up!
I hope you're taking her out to dinner tonight.

Wait a minute, you just prepare it the night before to make in the morning right? Surely you don’t brew it at night and reheat the next morning?

Props to your wife for the backup. I have a coffee pot in the house, the camper, a generator, and a percolator for backup

I keep my old French Press on hand just in case something should happen to my Keurig. That being said, the Keurig (at least 10 years old) is starting to show signs of fatigue. I may need to do a descale run through it. I always use filtered water from the fridge, so it goes a LONG time between descaling. I don't want to replace it if I don't absolutely have to because my Keurig is vintage before they started requiring the scan code on the top of the K-cup. I can run just about any K-cup through it with no problems.

I dumped my Keurig branded pot when it died for a Cuisinart. Runs any K Cup, and heats water on demand, like a tankless water heater. Had it now for 3 years and I'm happy with it.

Camping, I have a Keurig style French Press that I got at Cabela's before Amazon had anything. It works great.
