My girl's Xterra build

That thing is sick wish my xterra looked like that and one day it might.:driver::Rockon::Rockon::Rockon::Rockon::Rockon:

Took .120 plate and dimpled it, then layed another sheet of .120 over it to stiffen it up a little more.

How long did it take to weld all that?

Dang! That is a sweet xterra! Well done! Looks great!

Wish I had someone to work on my XJ!!!

looks awesome Richard, as always!

Good to see you the other day, let me know if we can help ya out w/ anything else.

Sick fab work. What do you do for a living?

Thanks for the compliments guys.

How long did it take to weld all that?
10-15 minutes, no tack tack tack, constant beads, a couple start and stops on a few. It took a lot longer to cut and drill the plate than it did to weld it up.

Thanks Dave, always happy to get my driveshafts there and I'm looking forward to you stocking some more 4x4 oriented product. I'll have a couple more driveshafts for you to do in a couple weeks.

I'm a basket weaver.... nah, I weld for a living currently but seem to be making a career out of college courses, hopefully one day I can weld because I enjoy it, not because it has to pay the bills.

great project, the welds look amazing.

build looks good. i have always liked the Xterra. awesome that its a girls truck! hope to go wheelin with yall sometime

seen this in person today, very slick work indeed! Rides great, just needs a midget to hold the fuel line in place! lol

Thanks, I was trying to persuade Kevin to hang out in the gas tank and hold that hose on there for me but he didn't seem to interested, I guess he still couldn't reach it standing up.

That front end will never hold up!!!!

is that tig work, or mig
I would guess MIG because of the less clean look around the sides of the weld, the buildup at the junctions, oh, and the wire cutters laying beside the sheet.

There is some of both tig and mig in there.

Well now I gotta know, why both?

This thing finished yet? I want to see it completed and in action.
