My new digs - aka the new shop

Just got the keys to the new shop for the business. Now the process of setting up all the equipment and moving all our inventory and all in. That'll be fun. :lol:

We are moving from where we are in Wake Forest about 10 minutes up the road to Butner. About a mile off of I85 and about 5 minutes off of Hwy 50/Creedmoor Rd at Old Weaver Trail.

We'll be open nights and weekends until we get the inventory built up, hopefully will be open full-time in Spring of next year at latest.

Go ahead and toss an opened quart of oil up in the air, let it make a big ol mess.

It'll feel good in the future when a hose comes loose and makes a helluva mess and you're not as worried about it.

It is 50x50. :) And we have the outdoor space too, just gotta pay to put a fence up. Working with Jody on getting me some wood to build one in the next few weeks.

@liftedblazer97, we sell Jeep parts and repair and sell Jeeps.

And @shawn no worries man, our old shop is in my backyard so I'm keeping that one too. :lol:
 
Congrats, looks good. I've been involved in the moving of 2 machine shops over the years, painful and exciting at the same time.
 
First things first....my desk and a beer fridge! My grandfather made this desk when I was a kid and it was in the corner of my parents' house for years. They gave it to me for my shop, it is a lot smaller than I remember. :lol: I am going to put some risers on it to raise it up. I also tweaked the top a bit when I was unloading it, but I can straighten it out.

Mine is a fair bit larger, with much older insulation, and I still haven't had a day where I was too cold to work.

Now cooling it....different story
 
Where did you get those racks from ? There is a place right over on Miami Blvd that sells used racks and ware house stuff like that, usually pretty cheap.

Yep, that's the place. Andrews & Hamilton. I got these used at a great price and they are in great shape.
 
I had some in my last shop. They were awesome until some one stole them for the price of medal. I know that because they left boxes of stuff that had value, but took the shelves and everything metal that was on them. Anyways shop looks good man, I can't wait to come check it out in person !
