MY NEW MUD RIG 66 Bronco

What made you want to run air shocks with the springs? The thought has come across, but I've never seen it done... just curious as I have a pair that are not is use right now.
 
Cool looking build, I like vehicles that still resemble something.

The tennis balls in the springs, I've seen that on somebody's monstertruck before. Don't remember the name of the truck though, but it seemed to work until he rolled it, then they were everywhere.

I am keeping the springs in rear so I can run in the lower classes at some tracks. The air shocks really cushon the ride. It was an experiment that we think works. I personally think the coilovers are overkill. They tend to bounce the truck that I have seen run them. I want simple and easy to repair and of course old school. It may not be the fastest rig but it has character.

The tennis ball idea came from a guy who had a bronco that he raced in arenas--- tough truck racing. He said it is the budget (poor man's) coilover. Think about it! Tennis balls that act as a shock inside a coil spring. Sure beats a $700.00 shock any day in my book. Call me stupid!!! :popcorn:

i did not mean to piss anybody off, i just ask the man a ? because i am a mud bogg racer and i hear some of the rock crawling guys don't care for us and i was just wondering what his veiw of us was. don't knock it till u try it or see us in action. CRAWLIN'S FOR BABIES! LOL!!! MUD BOGGERS DO IT W.F.O.

i like it! see if you can get some video or pics from saturday! that would be awesome! we plan on bringing some 2.5 ton trucks down to sanford for the tgw event in sept.
