^^ I like that. Having the hydraulic would be sweet. I did all mine with a JD2 model 3 manual and a homemade bracket/slide-in pole concreted into the ground lol. Still thankful everyday I bought it though, but good gracious can it bring the suck when making more than a 60 degree bend! Good back and shoulder exersize!
mine is hydraulic but im no pipe fitter. we got 3/4 of it done finish up this weekend. get the seats in they are tied to the cage but we ran out of wire
Nonsense! Let me show you an old indian trick I learned for notching tube. This is a scribe I made for myself out of 1.75 ID. Basically to adjoin two pieces of tube the same diameter together uses one formula, and you don't necissarily need a scribe to get a perfect notch. When you look down the end of a tube, visualize the four cardinal directions and mark them with a sharpie. Pick two opposing directions and measure down the tube exactly 3/4" both sides and mark it. Draw a straight line from each of those points to the neighboring points which will be at the edge of the tube. Cut out the triangles, clean up a few key areas with a grinder blade (think curvature) and you'll have a perfect notch every time. For angle joints you'll be dealing with percentages. Example: 45 degrees is 50% of 90. So in a 45 degree joint you would increase the depth of you notch by 50% and on the 135 degree side, decrease the depth by 50%. It takes some practice but not hard to get them perfect.
