Imagine going to auto zone and asking for parts for a 1947 cj2. The pimple faced kid behind the counter head would explode.

4.0 or 4.7. Selectrac? LolI figure the first question he will ask is, "Does it have A/C?"

I can go to NAPA and get a lot of parts for my '56 Willys truck as long as I get the right person at the counter. I even bought NAPA shocks for the rear because they are very well what you could have bought way back then if you were replacing them at a local auto parts store.Imagine going to auto zone and asking for parts for a 1947 cj2. I think you had it right the first time. That is an abomination! It is a '47-'49 Jeepster (VJ) front end Married to maybe the CJ tub and what looks to be a Willys wagon rear end
Edit: on second thought, that's probably the Wagon's front end also, they were the same
Nailed it! That's exactly what I was going to say - I see a late 40s Jeepster front end with a CJ2a tub corners (closed off the tailgate area, of course), with a Willys wagon hacked and capped into a bed. Can't really judge by the pics to well, but looks to be the same wheelbase as a Willys wagon anyway. That is an abomination! Looks like some Cuban concoction. When did the grills have 10 slots? I know about the 9-slotters but 10? I’m no expert.
The '47-49 Jeepster and the early Wagons and trucks had the same flat front grills so all were 10 slot, They later went to a more pointed nose and went to 8 slots. I have no idea why! lolWhere did the 10 slot originate/come from, school me, never seen before
