(this is not a PC threaD) I'm grilling out, receive a phone call, tired of the calls, the one that "amy" answers directed to someone called "scott", ONLY WAY IS TO LIE ABOUT VEHICLE (one that might be going out of warrenty) (PS All my SHIT IS!)! I told him I was a mechanic, my first language was English, my second is bad english, followed by bad french, bad spanish, bad german, and a "slure" that will offend most anyone else.

He tried to belittle me about my "Knowledge of vehicles", cussed me about not pushing the do not call button,

Going to figure it out, the last # they called me from is 252-798-2126, or 828-294-3404,

We need to figure out where this coming from and have a "disassembly" project, don't care if correct tools are used or not!

I had time once and entertained their BS. I just kept asking questions, which vehicle is it? "You'll have to confirm that" ok what number did you call? They got that part correct. Then I said if you know my number and vehicle what is my name and that was when he hung up on me. Lol
Been a few weeks haven't heard from them yet. Hope HE took me off the call list.
I'm always afraid if I hit the do not call it confirms for them and they keep calling.

Most of those numbers are spoofed anyway. I can't believe I'm gonna say this, but here it goes...only the government can fix this.

Best "fix" thus far is the AI answering service Google has now for Pixel phones. An AI robot answers the phone and strikes up a conversation with them, which you get in real time. Pretty entertaining. Too bad it isn't available for all phones yet.

And, there is no real way for the government to fix it, b/c they are already breaking the law by spoofing numbers etc. Its not like more laws will stop law breakers.

I just have to wonder - does it really work? I mean, who actually signs up for this BS? Its must b/c its still going on.... just like the Nigerian Prince scams....

When they ask what vehicle , I respond with one of the common hypercars, it ends the conversation quickly and they stop calling.

I thought they would play along for more time, but no luck.

Once I asked about which vehicle, I replied I have 6.

They hung up.

You gotta enjoy these calls.....I make it a game and see how far into their system I can get.....they usually hang up when I tell them "My truck is on fire, please sign me up ASAP" or that my name is "Jack MeHoff"......Is it wrong that I instinctively switch to an indian accent when speaking to someone who also has an indian accent?

If I am short on time and can't play the game, when they ask for the year, make, and model I tell them "I have a 2015 I F*#*=@d your mother last night!"......works every time!!!

I'm just amazed that y'all answer numbers that you don't know! :D

I used to not answer any number that wasn't in my contacts. If it was important they'd leave a message. Now with so many doctors, nurses, hospitals, pharmacies, etc calling I have to answer strange numbers or it turns into a two day game of phone tag.

The warranty ones are fun because they always call about my wife's Honda, which has a lifetime warranty. My other favorite is the "National Police and Trooper Fund" or whatever name they're using this week. We usually have a long conversation until I ask them if my wife can sign up to receive a benefit from them since she works for the Sheriffs Office.....

I thought it would be funny to answer and tell them to hold on and then lay down the phone this past weekend. DO NOT DO THIS!!!! These jagoffs have been calling me 7-8 times a day since. Different number every time.

Yeah, b/c you pissed off a guy, so he signed you up w/ all of his buddies.

Finally had to turn on the "do not disturb setting" with the only exceptions being my contact list. They're still there but don't have to hear the ringing.
