Mark,
I could not force myself to look this up and post this until now....it wasn't easy.
3.5 years ago I lost my best friend to cancer, and made a post here about it, Chip price posted the following up and it was very, touching...so much so that it was included on the program of the funeral and read at the services after I gave the eulogy...
The words are now a framed print in his wife's living room...I hope they bring the comfort to you they did to me.
God saw (s)he was getting tired and a cure was not to be
He put his arms around (her)him and whispered, "come with me"
With tearful eyes we watched (her)him suffer and saw (her)him fade away
Although we loved (her)him dearly, we could not make (her)him stay.
A golden heart stop beating, small frail hands at rest
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best
