you can get aftermarket cats for fairly cheap, and they dont affect any performance, so I see no reason to not put one on...

and id say to just put legal tint on it... 35% is plenty dark

cant help you with the locations though...
 
The cat just wasn't on the xj when I bought it, or else it'd have one. Now I've got the bronco to spend my money on and I just can't seem to make getting the jeep legal a priority. My truck on the other hand, is my DD so I've got to get it inspected.
