NC Light Bar Law

I see an array of square LED lights on separate brackets spaced apart to circumvent the linear bar wording. The aftermarket will find a way for people to do their bullshit in the road.

Or, people could stop being deuchebags and NOT turn their light bars on when on public roads. You can have as many light bars as you want, you just can't use them on the street.

You can have two "driving lights" and two "auxillary lights".

I noticed that aswell since its listed as an exclusion. Like I said I thought this has always been the law and adding the light bar language didn't really change anything. Im sure you could also make the argument that pods or round LED housings aren't "bar shaped"

More laws for the law abiding, no affect on the douchebaggers, but at least it will make it easier to ticket I guess.

I feel like there will be quite a bit of whining from the Carolina Squatter and Bro-Truck community over this. Whole lot of douche bags in Lexington probably gonna get tickets over this.

Want more criminals? Keep creating more laws.. I don't have a light bar and would not buy one. Don't care if others have or use them on or off the road. But for fucks sake we have enough fucking laws and more than enough damn taxes..

I hate the government.

Mine is double too, city tax in lincolnton, then county tax on top.

i was lucky enough to have a db in a raptor in the oncoming lane friday with not 1, not 2 but 3 light bars blazing away in the afternoon.

So since there's a law....can we (as citizens) now take action with deadly force against these light bars (i.e. shoot them out) because they now serve as a threat to others?

I'm of course asking for OTHER folks who HAVE guns, since mine are at the bottom of the deepest part of the lake as a result of an unfortunate boating accident with @Paul and @GotWood several years ago

Guess I need to come to your house, I know of at least two vehicles that have light bars on them, and every time you pass me you flash them and try to blind me!

so they are illegal to have installed on your vehicle...or illegal to operate on the road?

i know virginia outlawed roof mounted lights. the jeep liberty renegage is no go there with its factory roof lights.

Seriously though... I heard a story back when I drove a concrete truck (dont know if it was true or not) of a lady that rammed into the rear of a mixer and wasnt charged because she said she was mesmerized by the spinning of the drum or something like that....
