NC tag ADA-6535

freind of mine emptied his .357 into the car next to him going down I40 after having a broom stick pointed at him in a threatening manner. cops were called. he was handcuffed, questions were asked, and then let go. Was it a hassle, yes. Will the douche bag in the car point a broom stick and pretend its a shotgun any more, probably not.

That's a complete dumbass move, just consider all of the possible collateral damage. As a CCP holder, I would like to think that people are smart enough to consider what they are doing in a situation like this.

In all reality, the OP should have called 911 immediately and made arrangements to have a policeman meet up 'in route' behind the perpetrator - positive identification, and the guy could have been caught in the act.

I'm sure if he knew how far-long the guy was going to harrass him he would have done just that. Read the local news.........things are getting tough all over and I refuse to become a statistic of another helpless victim robbery or violent assault for resisting one, IF I CAN prevent it from happening. The gun would be used as a last resort, not for vigilante justice. I don't have a CCP and don't want one. I'll take my chances w/o it.

Just throwing it out there, that tag is registered to a 2006 Ford Escape Limited 4wd...

i dunno if i was clear, it was his impression that a shotgun was being pointed at him. why else do you carry concealed if not for this reason?

Just a week or so ago I was allmost hit by a guy, reclined into the backseat, who ran a redlight, speedin about 70 in a 45, in the rain, in RTP, I noticed the car had no plate as I looked at the car flying away down the road.

Do cars not have brakes? I am a CCW holder and would never in a million years fire first. You hit the damn brakes and try to avoid the situation first. Maybe it is just me, but I'll do everything I can NOT to take a life, no matter how worthless it might be. My gun is my last resort. Maybe there is more to this story, but he sounds like a real cowboy.

Had a similar situation happen to me in Garner in about 2002 or 2003, called the cops as I was driving to the police station, BUT!, the police are real slow to respond, and once i got close to the popo, the guy stopped in the middle of the road, pulled an illegal u-turn, and left. He had Temp plates that were weathered and illegible, so no good to track him down.

Back to the post; Nearly every day, I wonder where they got the "Right", to stop in the middle of the road, or 1/2 turned into a place, or anybody's drive way, or anywhere, they Damn well please, & do as they please, & be totally oblivious to any others, around them! Seems there is another Civil war, coming! Then again, it might be the African/ American-Mexican, War!:flipoff:
