NC4X4 Hunting and Fishing

Any dove shoots around the triad? Will pay.

So what would be a reasonable price to charge for a lease in Stokes county? 50 wooded acres on the side of a mountain, with hundreds of acres surrounding it. No creek/water on the property, but there is a pond nearby.

I ask because my property taxes went up by about $400, so wondering if I should charge more for the lease. Plenty of deer, more bears every year it seems as well.

50 acres ain't much for a lease. But it if it lays out right it could be a good spot. I'd just be honest with them about it and go up by what you have to.

@Tacoma747 I am losing my hunting place here in Guilford County. I would be interested. I was paying $20 an acre in Guilford County but would pay more for the right place.

A buddy of mine was clearing out his bow wall. Snagged this Bear Adapt 2+ for a good price. Will be nice for stalking and ground hunting. I never did like the PSE , so I sold it to fund this one. It's less than a year old.

Edit: sure looks sharp all dressed up. Definitely a little lighter and a whole lot smoother. May take it to my local shop and get a regular peep tied in and definitely will get a kisser button.

Got a new bow myself. Got my 20 and 30 pin dialed. Ran out of daylight for my 40, but it’s close. I honestly don’t like taking shots beyond 30. I’m not even sure I’ll dial in the 50 and 60. Just move them out of the way to the bottom. I have a PSE stinger.

Nice. My buddy was selling a stinger, the adapt, and some old mathews bows too. I still need to set my 60 pin. That's one thing I love about my react 1 sight, set 20 and 40 and it's rooted to 100.

Yall got me wanting to try dove hunting now. Never been.

Another year and another missed dove hunt for me. I used to go every year and then in the last 10 years all of my spots were sold and turned into houses or the farmers aren’t cutting the corn until October. I sure do miss it.

I was hoping a couple guys locally would cut a few end rows for silage. We have one tenant that picked all their sweet corn this past week but they went behind and baled the stalks. No birds.

Ready to rock.
