Need A New GPS

Upper left hand corner is the signal meter, after the Garmin has loaded up and ready to go..........press and hold the signal meter for a few seconds. All models will not do this. I know a 1450 LMT will. Takes a few seconds to load, but you will get a screen with a globe and numbered satellites. to the right is a strength meter for the satellites you can receive in bar graph display. at the bottom touch the hidden scroll button and this will bring up pages of diagnostic info. the temp will be in centigrade. Go back to get out and back to the "Where to" display. Now, press and hold a few seconds the battery meter in the upper right. This one can be tricky to pull up, might take a few tries, once you get a new screen simply keep forwarding to other pages. Sounds, colors, display, and a lot of test patterns with scrolling patterns. Be careful and remember if you change the properties on any page. All this info is for diagnostic info for the techs that try and fix the unit. The reason the temp is in here is to monitor what you have put it through, sub freezing temps in a console or on the dash in the desert and such. Like I said, this won't work on all Garmins. But it does on both of mine. If you can't bring it up , We'll be at the Farm this weekend and I'll try and show you how but not if I'm cooking with a line please. Have fun!

Just got a PM that ncpartsguy got into his GPS and found the pages I was talking about. Anybody else?
