Need a Tree Cut Down

So I have this eye sore of a tree in my back yard that has terrorized me since I moved and I've just lived with it. Its not a big tree at all, but has a few branches that hangs over my fence and into my neighbors yard and I just want it gone. Is there anyone on here that can cut down a small diseased tree? attached is a pic of the tree. I have attacked it with my pole saw but only got some of it down, so there's actually less to the tree now that what is pictured.
Just trying to get an idea if anyone on here does this on the side and if I could maybe get a ball park for what it would cost. No need to haul away...I can do that part. I just want the mother trucker cut down.

Throw a winch cable/ rope, etc. on it and go to town. It's not a huge tree. The winch line is simply to make sure it goes in the right direction. That tree shouldn't take more than 15 minutes to fall even with the setup.

I have taken worse ones down in much more precarious places around my house that way.

Problem with doing it that, which I totally would rather do it this way is destroying stuff in the process.

What do you have in the way? From the picture, looks pretty open. The only thing I can't tell from the picture is if it's too tall and may hit the deck/house.

Deck, crape myrtles, bird house, plus, I don't have a vehicle small enough to get back there and would rather not tear of what little good looking grass I have left.

what are you going to destroy?
Thats a tiny tree it aint reaching the porch?
Only 1 limb has any chance of catching the fence and its small enough and ow enough to manhandle.

I mean if ya aint careful you might catch the birdhouse
Well, the limbs on the right hang over our fence and my neighbors have a nice little setup on their side that I am afraid of messing up. This pic is a couple years old, so the branches are a bit longer now. Also with our backyard being nothing more than a hill, I don't want the tree falling back towards the burning bush and split rail fence.

Looks like a $1200-1400 job to me. @Danger_Ranger might be able to do it cheaper.

Whats good looking grass? 🤣 My advantage I guess. Mostly good looking dirt and lots of room in the yard.

Good luck.

Really that much? I was thinking WAY less.
My travel costs are higher since you are further away. Somebody local would probably do it for a bit less. ;)

I took out a Pecan tree less than a foot from the house with a couple ratchet straps tied to the base of another tree. It was a good 20' - 30' tall and about 8" - 10" across. You could easily do that with a tree anchor if you dont have something to tie it to.

What disease does it have? Hard to tell from the pics, but looks like a maple or ironwood thats 10-12" diameter at chest height, and unless there's really something wrong with it, it would be a nice tree to have in the backyard for shade canopy.

While it's not a big tree, it would still probably cost less to cut it down than it would to repair your fence since it's weighted heavily that way. Pulling a tree as you cut it is not hard so long as you are confident and have a good plan (BOTH of these, as having a lot of just one is a recipe for disaster). Honestly one that size can be done by hand with strong enough hands.

I'd personally grow a sack and cut it down. That's a tiny ass tree.
The problem is actually doing it. On a pretty steep hill as well. I reduce the chance of falling, getting hit with a branch, and other things if I don't do it myself...which I am a HUGE fan of. If I can pay someone that knows what they're doing and everyone is happy....thats my choice right there!

Not sure on the disease. It never really full blooms and seems to be leaning alot more towards our neighbors yard, so I also worry about it just randomly coming down since all the weight is on that one side now, roots from that tree are starting to show up from under the ground as well and one root has broken near the base of the trunk. It honestly is just an eye sore and its the first thing I notice when I look out our back door and it also prevents morning sun onto our deck, which we would like to have.

Camera angle must be funny bc my idea of a steep hill is different.
If you want to pay the man - if it's a "tree guy" I'd be shocked if you can get out for under 800 bucks these days. Sorry, no direct contacts in your area.

Some of you guys are missing the fact that he is asking for suggestions on who to call.

Cost me about 3500 to take down a huge oak tree and trim another oak I had a few months back, trimming the oak was like 500 of the total cost, I would think also around 800-1000 and the god guys in raleigh are backed up for 2-3 months right now, so get on it quick.

edit - the cost of fuel factors a lot into these guys pricing also, so try to find people close to you to do it

Dude next to me had a tree service out at the tune of $10,000. No joke. Granted he cut like 8-10 dead ashes but still. This ole hillbilly with his 3/4 ton and a winch cable dropped all of mine for the cost of diesel and gas. Come to think of it, that was one beautiful looking son of a bitch.
