I drive my jeep on the road some, and I have done some tweaks to the steering so I want to get a front end alignment. I have adjustable trackbars and all four control arms, so I want a shoop that will be able to do a full alignment. Any shop recommendations in Winston Salem?

It's not difficult, but I know where you're coming from.

Normally I'd never consider a shop like this, but I've gotten to know the owner, and some of the techs and they're really knowledgeable (front counter guys...ehh...they're just salesman) but Modern Auto Extras next to the Infinity dealership on Peters Creek can do it and do it right

I have always heard about a chalk line and a tape measure but I have no clue about doing an alignment

Clay,

I had attempted an alignment a few times after redoing my steering. I tried all other methods besides the one below in the picture.

Either way I still found it hard to feel confident in my measurements. Spec is like 1/8" toe in. Possibly more for big tires. It takes two pairs of hands and a lot of careful prep to be accurate. I just ended up taking it to a offroad shop here in VA beach for $80 after I still had death wobble. A little wait and I had it back in spec. They said my home adjustment was still toe out o_O

I did set castor at home though. Mine is somewhere in between 5 and 6 degrees. Wheel still returns to center.

Maybe there is a diesel truck performance place where all the flat bill peeps hang out that can put it on a rack and adjust it. Maybe call KC xtreme machines in greensboro? They seem to have a lot of flashy stuff :flipoff2:
