Need help in OBX

Mechanic found the axle side track bar bolt broken also.

This is the shop that it's at. They seem to be able to handle about anything that's needed on a vehicle including tires and towing all the way to beach recovery. The original owner is here today and she is probably in her mid 80's and a real bitch but I kind of like her. All the guys working here are knowledgeable and really nice.

Am I misunderstanding? If its just a broken bolt(s), and you made it to town on a screwdriver, is there not a HW store? Pull the rear shock mount bolts and use those to drive around town to find a local HW place? You were near corrolla right?

I stopped at the Ace hardware in Corolla and picked up a 1/2" bolt but it was just shy of working length wise due to my diff skid. I've driven sketchier shit further and faster. It wasn't a cheap shitty screw driver it was my finest Klein flathead along with a killer pair of vise grips.

No hopping that I remember. Must have just been some freak failure from what it looks like cause everything under it was checked over before the trip. The guy at Seto's that worked on it had the name Bingo on his shirt. He seemed to know what he was doing and once he got to problem fixed we went over everything underneath again.

I'll assume you're kidding. Good way to hit a stump and kill yourself, hit someone fishing, just be a general nuisance, or just give more ammo to the people that want to shut the beach down.

Settle down there Francis. Haven't been over about 30 mph on an empty beach and 15-20 mph when around anyone. The damn horse tours and cops have been passing me.

Honestly did you run over a horse while out there? The horse was laying down and you run over him going 30 in the dark down the beach.
