Need my cash back

Yeah man that sucks i have scred on a set of headers from a guy on here a few years ago for 200 bucks and no headers......

could be worse I bought a set of "built ready to go" injectors for my dodge about 7 months ago and just found out the 1400 I gave the guy was for ALL bad injectors and ofcourse he hasnt returned any emails or phone calls......so now I had to buy all NEW ones and the labor it took to found out I bought crap.......talk about bein pissed man!Good thing Im makin desert money!!

I still dont understand. A deposit to hold something is non-refundable. He could have sold those wheels 4 times while he was holding them for you, but he didnt because he was HOLDING THEM FOR YOU. You finally got to look at them and decided you didnt want them, and you expect your money back? You REALLY screwed him.

If he agreed to give you your money back if you decided you didnt want them, why would he accept a deposit from you in the first place? That makes no sense.

all i know is "i will hold the tires and the cash till you look at them if you dont want them i will be glad to give you a refund!

that to me says if you dont like them or dont want them when you come to look id be glad to refund you not prob... but hey i talked to the guy he's still broke no job etc etc i just wish he would get it from his mom or someone local to give to me and he pay them back... but thats just wishful thinking..

and to add he gave the tires away after all said and done...

damn...i just deleted his phone number from my phone last week. I hate to say anything bad about anyone, but i didnt plan on doing any further business with him.

he seems to have a habit of causing a mess and hiding from the confrontation it creates.

i dont think hes a bad person, i think its just a lack of maturity.

if i send someone money to hold something for me, and something comes up down the road and i dont buy it.. i dont expect my money back. if i do get it back..great..but its not expected. when you give someone money to hold something that means YOU ARE GOING TO BUY IT.

in some cases I would agree but if it was made known up front that the deposit was refundable if things didnt workout for whatever reason then the man needs to give him his back that was the deal they made and to say i spent, ill pay you later or anything other than heres your money is just crap

I'd agree with that, unless other parameters were set before the dealings...and in this case, they were. A deal is a deal, the guy should be held accountable and follow through on his word. It shouldn't matter if it was only a dollar...if the deal was it was a refundable deposit, regardless of him purchasing the item or not, Clayton should get his money back.

^^^Agreed...but that wasn't the deal that was made. To me, the importance is not arguing the definition of 'deposit'...rather the issue is 2 men agreeing to terms they were both comfortable with and one of those men not following through on it. It was a verbal contract that was broken, plain and simple.

i know i havent heard anything in a hot min so i thought id post up some more misleading info apperantly even now he still dont have my money

*shrug*

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is the first time I've logged on in 2 months. To be honest, I don't have any money. I don't see what else I can say to you. I told you I'd get you your money when I had it. And I still, don't have it.

If I had gotten paid for the tires, then you would've had your money right away. But I ended up giving them away.

Post all the bad things you want, have your people threaten me all you want, my word still stands. You'll get your money when I have it. I know I said I'd have it a long time ago, but that counted on me getting a job.

I actually had a part time job not too long ago! I made 300 bucks, then got fired because my school schedule conflicted with my work schedule. I paid 350 bucks for insurance for 3 months, and that runs out in 3 weeks.

His word means something but he told you you'd have it a long time ago...and you still don't. I understand tough times, and at least he came clean on that. I doubt you'll see the cash, maybe write it off as a charitable donation next year????

To me, a refundable deposit shows that the potential buyer is serious. Why would I put a non-refundable deposit down on something i ahven't seen? I gett here it whatever it is is shit and the guy gets to keep my deposit?

Seems like they are on about the same level to me.

OP, he's still communicating with you, and still telling you you'll get your money. Is it within the constraints he originally agreed to? Of course not. Is what he has done respectable? Not in my opinion. But I think it's time you stop trashing the guy over it.
not that big of a deal but damn its been long enough!!
Couldn't have said it better myself.

No he needs to be labeled as a bad person to do business with. So none of the rest of us will fall prey to his doings..
