I have a 1981 CJ7, with 82,000 original miles. the jeep is garage kept, has a new Best soft top and doors. 35' Mickey Thompson tires with Fuel rims. A spray in bed liner in the tub. a 10,000 lb winch on front, new front and rear bumper like the originals. Has black side steps to match the bumpers, new seats. in great shape, less then 2,000 miles the last 2 years after being totally re done. I have to sell do to medical reasons. my question is where is the bedt to get the serious people involed. Any help is very thankful,

Great Question, but one that may not have an answer. Sometimes you get Lucky, & find the Right buyer. Sometimes. I have a 79 CJ7 Golden Eagle, garage kept, So much done over the years, I doubt I could guesstimate the money I've invested. IF, I ever needed to sell it, I expect I'd be taking a Great Loss! I understand That is typical of any modifications or added on equipment. Maybe find some 4-wheel drive shows, like Galloway's does.

Rebuild/fix/add on to something like that, you gotta keep it to get your $$ out of it. You will loose 75% of what you have in it.

2 best options are: 1) put it on CL at a high price, and hope for a fool spending daddy's money or 2) pull off some items and sell individually...winch, soft top, sell tires and stick on rollers, etc...then sell whats left as a project

Ebay

My guess is that someone from up north will be willing to come off the big cash.

Yes cjs are classic, but id rather have a yj with a cj grill anyday.
