Is there a reason they call it a JK ?

It was just to easy :flipoff2:

I look at those and notice 3 things:
1. Jeeps now come with a 6 pack of Michelob as standard equipment
2. You need to clean the pine needles off of your roof :flipoff2:
3. I think the wrangler has deviated too far from it's simplistic rugged outdoor roots. It may or may not be the most capable stock jeep ever, but all of the trim, and electronics take away from the open top jeep experience you buy a wrangler for. However, This also makes it appeal to a broader group of potential buyers, and therefore makes more money. :shaking:

All in all, sweet ride. I'm jealous :driver:

1. Yeah, dealer special....:shaking:
2. Dont have to, My gardener does that sheet. :flipoff2: But I will call him. Thanks for the heads up
3. That is the first thing said. Until I have a 2 hour demo. Everything electronic comes off. The top works so much better with the t-top feature. The frame is 100% stronger. The rearend looks like it came from Currie. Has huge disc brakes. No slip yoke. Everything seams to be a lot better. I even flexed it out already. Man, The wheelbased helps A lot. I still have my Tj and I must say. I think the New JK will do to the TJs what the TJs did to the YJs. EIther way I am set. (anyone seen a lift kit for this thing)

Well, it drive like a normal vehicle. Does not feel like a jeep at all. :flipoff2:

The clutch reminds me of the Jetta we use to have. Very soft and smooth. suspension was very very tight and clean, no body roll.

Yes, very cool idea on this. The doors dont have the controls. The one you see on the door is power locks. They also lock when you start driving like other vehicles. The controls for windows are under the stereo controls. There is a plug that is attached to the door strap that plugs in right near the doors All fours doors were taken off by me in less than a minute. Just like a TJ. The hard top can be removed by a weak female and the soft top as you see is inside the hardtop. it stays on at all times. so you can remove the hard top and then just fold up the soft top No more trying to store everything in your garage. There is a awesome built in sub too. no more trying to build or by a box. It already has one.

I have to say, everything Jeeps complained about or when out and bought aftermarket is on this thing. The tailights are new too. They only stick out about half of the others. The fenders doo remove in the front but I counted about 5 bolts on each side. I thought they came off a little easier based on what the prelims were saying. has tweeters pods in the dash that stick up. Like the mustang GTs have. The suspension is very nice. The dana 44 looks very nice too. Control arms, and everything else looks much much stronger than TJs. I see the value of a TJ dropping in a year or so.

Full Traction has them out:

run 35x12.50's on a 3" lift...for ~$500...:D
Greg

Cool, I think I will wait now before putting a 500 dollar lift kit on. I am sure longarm kits will be out soon. I dont think we are lifting it until it is a least a year old. Want to get the feel for it first. 6 speed is a lot different than my 5 speed TJ.

OH YEAH. the best best thing is that I have a lot of leg room. My knee in my Tj with the old seats all the way back was about 2 inches from the dash. The JK puts my Knees about 6 inches from the dash. I think when most of you see them you will be suprised at how big they are. It was wider, longer, and taller than my 4runner. It looks about the same size as a Commander. The JK was taller though.

awesome.. I didnt realize they where out.. Good deal. who had it? Riverside or Gladwell?

Do the doors come off?

yep...

Around 30 for the unlimited Sahara with all the extras. I thought it was a little high until I saw it in person. it is almost the same size as the commander but 7k less. I have a 99XJ and it is nothing like it. There is not another Jeep like this one.
