New Truck Advise - Too many options

Well... Would you rather pay $28k for a truck that just has an EGR and cat... Or $70k for a truck with a DPF and urea tank that shuts down if the EGT sensor goes out of range?

Neither! LOL

Ill keep driving my old Dodge a little longer, or maybe i should put it up for sale for $15,000, lol.

my 6.0 gets 10mpg loaded or unloaded. its a 2000 with 109k on it. whats the trick?

Seriously? My 2000 had like 250k miles on it and it consistently got 16mpg no matter what I was towing. I don't baby my junk either. Weird. Now my old 454 Burb got 12mpg, no matter what.

Nobody is helping my decision making process!! :flipoff2:

I think StretchASU has a good post in this thread. I read lots of good things about the Chevy 6.0 gas trucks on other 4x4 sites too. I might replace my Dodge CTD with a Chevy 6.0 gasser in a couple of years. I'm only towing a Samurai though. The diesel trucks are commanding a lot more money than the gas trucks these days due to all the flat billers rolling coal.

He does make some good points, the 6.0 chevy is a great motor, just every one I have seen in a 2500 gets shit for mileage. Not a huge deal since I don't drive a ton, but also I wouldn't mind something I really like. Diesels are the current ricers, they ruin it for everybody.

Diesels are the current ricers.

I beg to differ.

I also submit for evidence: every lifted late model Chevy 1500. Especially the ones with 50" led bars.
