neXtJeep Build Thread

The dude I got those flares from has a 97 XJ that he has owned since 1998 and is slowly parting out, trying to sell the good stuff before he scraps it I think. It lived the first part of its life in New York, so it’s a bit rusty, but certainly not a lost cause. If anyone is interested in anything off of it, let me know and I’ll get you in touch with him. Runs and drives, title in hand. He seemed really negotiable on prices, and honestly I think it could be a good wheeler/driver without much effort, but has some quirks. He liked lights and racks and wiring, so lots of random tabs and holes and wiring.

Wheels and tires are sold, but everything else is available. I happen to have a set of XJ wheels and tires, fender flares, and a stock rear bumper if anyone wants to complete it haha

Got the Notch Customs X-Max flares fit up and some holes punched in the body today. Wife said they look like styrofoam haha!

A can of Rustoleum Rust Reforer took care of that. I love the way this paint lays down.

Still a lot of trimming, tucking, and welding to do, but the right side is hung and looks much n better to my eye.

I really disliked the bulge at the back of the front flares so that is much improved with these flares.

Gained about 2” of vertical clearance too. Now I need 35’s! But overall I’m super pleased with them. :D
