What is the slit in the sleeve for? To clear the tube seam?

Yes, and also so I didn’t have to turn the tube down. If I recall correctly it was like ~10 thou oversize compared to the ID of the driveshaft, so it gave it a sort of pre-tensioned press fit without being way overboard. All it needed to do was align the two halves until it was tacked and give me some extra metal to burn into. What is the slit in the sleeve for? To clear the tube seam?
Yes and no. I’ve barely touched it since last year. Need to stick on 2 more fender flares and install/plumb/wire the locker pumps. And then worry about all the other stuff on the list. I’ll probably start Thursday night, and load it on the trailer and head to Uwharrie midday FridayThis thing ready for the G2G?

Don't forget to check the "filters" (injectors) for orange water... cause they's both sleeping in the same bed/shedYes and no. I’ve barely touched it since last year. Ha, I wish. XJ is parked up the hill from the shop so I can bump start it. Something is causing parasitic drain that kills the battery in less than a week. Instead of fixing it, I just park up the hill haha.Don't forget to check the "filters" (injectors) for orange water... cause they's both sleeping in the same bed/shed![]()
I feel confident my mower and the XJ would run on that.I have some mustard packs from White Castle circa 2012 I need to get rid of, wonder if Matt’s gas tanks are a good receptacle![]()
