That's a good catch, Mr. EngineerPretty cool. Looks like there was a little crack at the outside edge, and when you sent it the final burst of torque, the crack shot up the hub and then tore from the torque until it was loose enough for the innards to bust.

I actually bashed this side on rocks 2 years ago at Harlan so I'm not surprised. This is a replacement Warn hub on it but I didnt look for nor see a crack when I replaced it.Pretty cool. Wow. Never seen a failure like that.
I had mine swell up due to broken hubs but never seen one split.
Definitely never seen one break like that.
