Non-exciting 93 XJ

Nothing huge has happened, I did buy @adamk front end from his Jeep, and found a Dana 70 for the rear, price was right on both. So snatched them up. Still compiling parts to swap it all in, at least the front is already built and tested which I’m pretty happy about

and this front and rear are heavy AF I hated moving them around.

turns out I broke my index finger loading that 44 into your truck. Been an interesting week working on the new Jeep haha
Damn man, sorry to hear that, that thing is a monster. Me and my brother started to unload it but decided we would wait for an extra set of hands. I smashed my finger sliding it back up in the truck. But not that bad

yes it is. I initially built in the spare bedroom of my old apartment. Should have seen how we moved it out and loaded into a truck bed for the swap lol

Please no critiquing the messy ass small garage....one day when I’m done with all the projects it will get clean again...so never haha.

wanted to clean up the D70 today, moving it without rolling it wasn’t an option so I tossed the 37’s on it to make it mobile...but then had to Houdini it out of the little garage...so my grand plan was two floor jacks and wheel it out. Got the shock mounts cut off and ground smooth and primered to help prevent rust, the perches seem to measure the correct length apart just need to check pinion angle and compare to see if I’ll need to cut those off and weld new ones on as well

sup with that nova?

sup with that nova?
She’s getting a 283 with TH350 Trans dropped in her. Already swapped front drums to discs and have an 8.8 under the rear. Still gotta wire and plumb the engine...bleed brakes and it’ll be ready. If I could take two solid days of working on it, I could probably have it on the road. Been putting more time in the Jeep lately though

After a LONG time of not updating this, I finally had some progress. Did what I could then farmed the rest of the work out to @Chris_Keziah for the drivetrain swap. After giving him a shit box full of half ass work by me, he came through and made this thing exactly what I wanted. He had to redo a bit of my work in addition to what already needed done for the swap, but in the end it all came out awesome and I’m extremely happy with it.

Gonna toss a shackle relocation kit on the rear and trim some more out back and this thing should be right

@adamk finally got it all installed!!
