North Korea??

Well, as far as i can see. It seems to be pretty chillax in oki right now. We did send some birds over there for the joint training. But that was already in the works months ago. I think the media is putting a real heavy spin on it.

Our current military strategy and technology is a little different now, we aren't using horses and bayonets any more.

Yeah we arent, but with the current strategy and technology we have been in afghan and iraq for 10 years and counting and spent a large amount of money... Things have changed since we first rolled into afghan, all of the new counter insurgancy stragies and such. We would have to re adapt for a war with NK seeing how we would be fighting another army instead of how we are fighting now.

No mater what decade, the technology or where it is, its going to take money and time. One of which we dont have much of. . .

Otherwise its a useless debt.

And it is the old addage when you owe the bank 10,000 you ave a problem. When you owe the bank 10,000,000 the bank has a problem.
If we stop importing Chinese products, the costs of goods in the US rises, jobs increase, wages increase, and we enter exponential inflation. No Fun.
If we stop importing goods from China, In China the job market evaporats over night. People are starving in the street, more, and the countyr is overrun by knock of iPads and cheap home electronics. Much larger issue.

I actually have friends in SK, and they say the tide is changing dramatically there. Many people ar able to pick up SK air waves and there by access the outisde world. According to them (and they are 1 couple, so an insignificant sample size to be sure) the pinion of most of NK is rolls eyes and ignores the crazy figure head.

Only the country of NK is ~ roughly the size of baghadad and it fell in what 42 days?

This is true, my point was that its going to be a different fight then what we are use to not so much the time factor. Given that war with NK will most likely be fought from the air it wouldnt take long.

Is anyone concerned about nk using nukes launched from subs? Remember a few years back china poped their subs up right in the middle of some u.s. ships, WAY too close to a carrier? They have the same subs, some russian subs, from what I've read at least one sub launch capable missile. I know, i know, this is nk, where in their parades they had fake missiles that looked like a 5th grade class made them, and photoshop all kinds of propoganda, but if they put the right crazy crew on one of those subs, some where in the u.s. could get a little sunburned.
