We got about 3” in pittsboro.

I thought they're supposed to be the hot new thang.

Goodyear duratracs are alright. They cake up in the mud (as Troy documents). A whole mess of siping and grooving that help them grip the snow.

I would probably buy them again if I didn’t have to deal with mud. They are very very quiet on the highway.

I know we got 4" here in Hartsville. Maybe as much as 6" in some areas.

It’ll probably be cleared up by Monday. The interstates are being scraped clean now.

How are the surface streets

Packed with snow. There is a lot of shade on those streets that preserve the snow. If you are driving anything except a 2wd truck I imagine you are going to be fine. Remember zero hills in Virginia Beach.

Here's a good one....

Had 2 UPS packages on the way. One was shipped UPS ground, the other went out yesterday, shipped UPS Next Day.

The next day air package made it to Southern Pines distribution center last night, a couple of hours before the ground package.

The ground package was delivered today. The more important Next Day Air package is "delayed due to weather".

Grrrrrr.

Johnston and Wake Co's were in the donut hole too long, we ended up with about an inch here but went to Garner/South Raleigh today and it looked like nothing had happened.

Well....my next day air package that was due yesterday didn't show today either....tracking shows it still sitting in Southern Pines. BUT....ups truck was on our street making a delivery today. Grrrrrrr.

It hasn’t melted down much. If you have decent tread on your tires you will be fine. Just look out for the soft snow.

Where in this area are you traveling to?

I also have 2 packages stuck with UPS in southern pines. Was supposed to be delivered yesterday, now it says between the 6th and 11th. FedEx didn't have a problem coming to my house today though.

My luck....I bet they sit on my Next Day box five days and then send it back to the shipper figuring I don't need it by now.
