Now this is speeding!

:shaking:He is such a tool he was probably going down 21 only road I can think of in troutman where he could get that kinda speed. But I've actually got that beat.:wheel: I got 168 in a 55 motorcycles are the devil

this was after the all star race..... he wasnt too happy.... i dont like his arrogant ass or his brothers......

ive got yall both beat i got a 145 in a 35 in orlando on the rear wheel lol several weeks of traffic school to get that one reduced to ass rape lol

And he wasn't arrested. What are the chances if it was anybody else that they would be behind bars right now?
Pretty low. I've had several "traffic safety classes" where people in there had 100mph plus tickets, and none of them went to jail. Legally if it is 10mph over they can take your license/etc, but that only happens if you give them plenty of other reasons to.

Local Fox news asked the cops why he wasn't arrested. They answered: "Most people would be, and lose their license ON THE SPOT, but he wasn't because he isn't a flight risk."

So your normal Joe working a 9-5 living paycheck to paycheck is a flight risk, but a multi-millionaire that works in a different city every week isn't?

It's preferential treatment because he's a celebrity, hands down.

128 in a 45 is not equal to 128 in a 65/70 on an interstate. BOTH, however, show blatant disregard for public safety.

He should lose his license, IMO.

I totally agree. All it takes is one child to step out into the road and it would be a totally different story. The cop must have been a nascar fan

While I dont think it's acceptable (and dont watch NASCAR,etc.) .. but we also do not know what road he was on.. Out where my parents live the speed limit is 45 and you can go 1+ miles between houses... no school crossing, etc...

I would venture to guess he wasn't doing 128mph by a school or neighborhood playground, etc. Nor was he running 128 sustained... Look at the LFA i'm guessing he ran it up to 130 and just so happened to blow by a LEO.

Also, I know of several people who picked up 100+ tickets on bikes and were not arrested/license taken.. So the sheriff's comment.. well sounds like a typical sheriff's comment...

EDIT: he'll pay a fine, do some form of PSA/communtiy service and maybe attend a driving course...

I had a cop tell me the same thing one time when I got pulled for 89 in a 55. He basically told me that if I didn't have a job and a new car I'd be going to jail and they'd give me a $500-$1000 bond to get out. I'm sure if I had run my mouth the outcome would have been different, but the "flight risk" thing really is a judgment call that the officer can make.

I personally like drivers with a first or last mentality and if I had this car I would endanger everyone too.:fuck-you:

With as many cop haters as I've seen in other threads, I'm surprised so many are saying he should have been taken away in cuffs. Not to mention, how many guys in this thread (plus the others who haven't posted) have gotten triple digit tickets and not wound up in jail, so why should Busch? So some are saying he got off easy because he's a celebrity, I think alot of stances in this thread are based off a negative bias because of him being a celebrity. Was it dumb and stupid, sure...is speeding speeding, of course. Could it have ended tragically, of course...but how many folks here have hit triple digits and there could have been just as many hypotheticals. Punish the guy, but hold him to the same standard...if anything, he was probably more qualified to be traveling at that speed than anyone here who has admitted to three digit speeding.

Disclaimer...I'm not a NASCAR fan, so I'm not defending 'my' driver.

That's right near my house. I'd rather he was driving that fast than some high school kid in his Dad's Porsche. I'm not saying it was a good idea, but be realistic. It's a sunny, Tuesday afternoon. How long would it take to get to 120+ in that car. A few seconds?

I AM a NASCAR fan, but I AM NOT an 18 fan.

I actually did get arrested the cop pulled over a former friend (who is now a cop) that was of the the guys riding with us gave the cop all my info. I got a phone call from Tue cop saying to turn myself in or there was going to be a warrant for my arrest.

I disagree totally. He is more qualified to drive a vehicle that is specially made for a TRACK. It drives around in a circle and has ZERO chance of a child stepping out in front of it.

I've been pulled over before for going 55 in a 45 zone. I had two screaming kids in the back seat so I was a bit distracted. I got a ticket. I paid the ticket.

I wasn't arguing that what he did was ok, because all the hypotheticals ran through my head too, fact of the matter, none of them happened. I was also trying to state that most of us have probably done something similar, in which all the hypotheticals were relevant there as well...so don't throw stones. My point was more or less the double standards and hypocritical comments based off a particular bias because he is a celebrity and I was questioning the harshness of some responses when the average joe would have been treated the same way.

Besides that...you're honestly going to say a professional driver probably couldn't handle a street car better than the average person? There's no way I could honestly say I believe I'd be as good driving my mustang at 120mph for any distance better than a professional driver. Now I have an ego from hell, but there's no way I could say I'm as qualified/skilled as Busch with a straight look on my face.

If he had to jerk the car to the right, he'd be screwed.

I think he won a road course race in the last year or two. :driver:

Edit. Looks like he won both the Sonoma and Watkins Glen races a few years back. I think he can turn right.

I think it's somewhat of a stretch to call the Lexus LFA a street car... I just checked the bathroom mag. stand and the it would take approx. 13 seconds from 0-130 and about 1/4 mile..

At least he didn't have it pinned at the limited top speed of 200mph...
