OBA-----York or CO2 can

Have to get it filled, worry about it getting lifted off my jeep when I'm not around, it likes to freeze up on long usage, I've used it twice and everyone else has used it plenty.
I'm not going to be that guy that says "no , you can't use it cause we're in Tellico and it's going to be a bitch to get refilled" with OBA I would care less..

That is why I got both!! Never run out and can always help out.
They make some good brackets to lock them up and you can always cable it.
I have filled 12 tires in a row and never stopped working 4 33" and 8 35".
the one thing I have done that could not be done with the OBA is to reseat the beads on a rig way off the trail and use it as a shelding gas welding on the trail.
Yes you could get 200' of hose and then do it but that is a lot of hose to carry.
Refill is no deal just spend a little time to make a list of the places that can refill it in all the areas you wheel and times they are open.
Sounds like everyone else is not being your friend or they would fill it for you if they use it up.
Most people that trailer would only need to fill it maybe one time at the most a year if you don't blow a lot of beads.

Just my two cents :)

I've had mine less than a year and have refilled it 4 times, I wheel a lot. As for people using it other than me, usually happens on a trail and it's someone I don't know and doesn't live near me. It's $12 to get it filled around here, it's not a money thing as much as one more "to do thing" before I go somewhere. For my needs OBA would have been a better route. As for the friends I wheel with using it, when we are in the woods whats mine is theirs and I don't care who they are, I've been known to wheel with a few spares and next to no tools, we all sorta carry different stuff so we have an assortment when someone breaks. It's a preference thing.

Just a note about filling the CO2. When I did have mine, I paid nothing to exchange it. How? Well Kegs(some) use CO2 to to flow the brew. But, not that much is used, so when they turn them in, there is a lot left in it. SOooooo be nice and get to know your welder supply person!

Do you trailer your rig or drive it.
I was using a lot more when I was going down for a day at a time but now that I camp and trailer I just use it to top the tire off and trailer repairs.
Yes it sounds like you are a little like me. I have spent a lot on stuff to fix other rigs and never ask for a thing in return.
I once had a guy ask if he could use my CO2 and drained a new tank "that is why I carry two" he filled an air bed at camp.
