We always stay here. It’s about 45 minutes from the meeting spot but it’s a good place to stay.

I completely understand that! That would make me a little leery too! This is the first chance I’ve had to make it in a few years. I plan on getting there Wednesday.

Oregon Inlet is my favorite campground out there. They have primitive and RV sites, and just across the dunes from the water, or a beach access point right beside it for 4x4's:

Looks like there's at least a 50% chance I can make this one! Should know for sure in the next few days. Where's the best spot to stay if you don't have an RV? Oregon Inlet looks nice but I have no idea where that is relative to the meet up spot.

Between Nags Head and Pea Island...like you’re going to Hatteras.
